Kendo Taikai is operated as a free, non-commercial hobby project. There is no subscription or paid plan required to use these app features.

Accounts and participation

Independent accounts and temporary access are for adults aged 18 or over. This is a product policy, not a statement of the legal age for data consent in every country. You can use the same personal account to play and organise. Keep account access secure, provide accurate information and use only pictures and information you are entitled to submit.

Junior players participate through entries arranged by the organiser with a parent or guardian. Junior entry does not create a child account. Organisers must check authority and any required permissions, explain how information is used and provide an age-appropriate notice. No medical records or identity documents should be uploaded.

Organiser responsibilities

The organiser is responsible for event rules, player eligibility, approvals, safe participation, schedules and results. Before collecting or importing information, identify the responsible person or organisation, lawful basis, privacy contact, recipients and retention period. Collect only what is needed, use non-identifying nicknames and avatars for juniors, and manage guardian involvement. Do not use an import acknowledgement as evidence that parental authority has been verified.

Organisers must handle data rights requests, review retained records after the event, protect downloaded spreadsheets and reports, and delete unneeded copies. They must not publish private contact details or sell participant information. Platform and organiser data responsibilities and any required processing agreement must be agreed for the actual use.

Fair use and availability

Do not harass others, impersonate people, upload unlawful material or attempt unauthorised access. Report abuse or security concerns to hello@kendo-taikai.com. We may restrict abusive use and make changes to maintain the service. This hobby app may be unavailable or have errors; organisers should verify results and keep necessary event backups. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer or data-protection rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
